Purpose: Davis Memorial is looking for a mature, part-time worker to provide dependable, safe, secure and nurturing care for children while at church. This worker is responsible for caring for children aged 0-5 years on Sunday morning 10:00-11:30a.m. and Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30p.m.
Responsibilities:
- • Responsible for providing age-appropriate care which includes feeding, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, maintaining a safe environment, holding or sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, play and prayer.
- • Be polite, friendly, and courteous to all children, parents and volunteers.
- • Provide childcare during hours stated above with additional opportunities to work during Holy Week, Easter, Christmas, Ash Wednesday, ect.
- • When child is dropped off, responsible adults leave their name and phone number on the child’s registration form.
- • Stay until the children are secured with a responsible adult.
- • Straighten the room, clean and sanitize any toys, tables, ect. Before leaving.
- • Promptly report incidents involving children and/or other adults.
- • Maintain inventory of supplies and request more supplies, as needed.
- • Communicate in advance to the Pastor for planned absences with a two week notice and un-planned absences at least two hours prior to the work time.
Qualifications:
- • At least 18 years of age.
- • High school education or equivalent.
- • Completion of satisfactory background check.
- • Available to work every Sunday and Tuesday.
